The Festival of Light is an international collaboration involving twenty-three photography festivals from over 20 countries around the world.
At the beginning of this century, photography heralded a new form of art and popular communication. At the end of the century, festivals and museums of photography have become focal points of popular culture around the world.
Through the Internet, The Festival of Light creates a pathway of photography around the world, in a two-year long program of monthly events.

Lambros Papanikolatos received B.A. diploma in Marketing communication and Advertising in Athens and M.A. in fine art photography at Film Academy (FAMU) in Prague. He also completed undergraduate studies in Media and Multimedia design at The Hague University. In 2004 Lambros was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship.
He has been working as art management consultant specialized in International photography festivals. He has been cooperated with FotoFest in Houston, and other European photography festivals.
From May 2007 he has been cooperating with Festival of Light (FOL) .
Lambros is the editor and coordinator of FOL WEBLOG.
